Mobula Rays Dish
Handmade thrown ceramic dish with Sgraffito ray design.
The Mobula Ray, also called the "flying ray" is known for its characteristic jump-- a phenomenon which scientists still can't agree on the reason for. In the van, we'd often be awakened at dawn by the sound of a group of breaching rays as they jumped out of the water and then slapped back down to the surface. Sometimes the glimmer of the sun on their "wings" was so bright, a group of them mid-air would look like a mirage hovering above the ocean.
A shallow dish great for pasta, salad, or as a decorative addition to your wall.
Microwave and dishwasher safe.
