Pelican Bowl

Handmade thrown ceramic bowl with Sgraffito Pelican design with wave motif.

Inspired by the many pelicans we encountered on our travels - from Florida, to Puerto Rico, to Baja and everywhere in between. Often the first birds seen at sunrise and the last at sunset; their presence was a constant, and watching the unassuming birds dive (sometimes) gracefully for fish became a favorite pastime. This one is an homage to a pelican we saw in Puerto Rico who attempted to swallow an entire bottle of Corona! (Thankfully unsuccessfully-- we shooed him away from it!)

A shallow bowl great for pasta, salad, or as a decorative addition to your wall. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
